In the last email I sent to my mailing list, I asked my subscribers to fill out a quick 2-question survey, asking if they struggle with self worth.

I got some replies from men who all said that they don’t have a problem with self worth, and that their work as healers or artists is going well.

I also got numerous responses from women talking about their struggle with feeling worthy. Not feeling good enough, beautiful enough, confident enough, hard working enough…

I know some of these women personally. They are kind. They are wise. They are fun. They put others first. They care. They are truly beautiful human beings.

Reading their answers made me so angry.

We have inherited feeling unworthy from our mothers, who got it from their mothers, who got it from their mothers…

An endless chain of women who believe that they don't measure up to the standards largely set by men.

For centuries, our innate qualities have been seen as unimportant.

Being empathic, soft, emotional and caring has been equaled to being weak.

Being in flow and seeing connections between the seemingly unconnected, instead of being structured, analytical and profit focused, has been seen as stupid.

Which is exactly why the world is in the state it’s currently in.

We experience storms we have never seen before. The ice is melting at the poles. The climate is becoming more and more extreme. Numerous species are getting extinct on a daily basis.

This is what happens if you ignore the intricate connections in the web of life, and allow yourself to be guided by greed.

Our planet is out of balance.

I can't help but see a connection between our mother earth and the feminine.

Pushed too hard, we explode too. We cry. We shout. We rage. We become jealous and insecure and clingy.

Which makes it so easy to label us insane, crazy, over the top…

Enough of this!

Enough enough enough.

My sisters, my mothers, my daughters, my grandmothers, I love and honour you so much.

I see you.

And I so want you to see yourself.

In your beauty

In your worthiness

In your courage and your kindness and your stamina and your hard work

In your flow

In your connectedness to all that is.

I so wish for all women to finally, finally, FINALLY see their worth.

To be clear and centred and aligned.

To feel good in their own skin, and confident about who they are.

And to become truly sovereign, and allow themselves to take both the reins and the reign!

Like the Dalai Lama so famously said:

The world will be saved by the Western woman.

This is us! If you’ve grown up in the West or not. And, if these words resonate, if you’re in a female body or not (none of what I'm writing here is meant as 'men bashing'. I know that there are a great many good men out there).

We are the once we have been waiting for!

Our planet needs us

Our animal friends need us

Our sisters, our daughters, our moms need us

As do our husbands, fathers and sons

If you feel called, I would be very grateful if you could answer my 2 question survey.

Click here to get to the survey.

I’ll use what you write to make a free workshop I am currently working on better.

It is called ‘Worthy’.

Which you are. Which I am. Which we all are!

Isn't time we finally embraced this?
