An old soul is someone who’s been around the block. You have incarnated on this planet plenty of times, and you have experienced it all.

Being revered for doing your work

Being called crazy for doing your work

Being killed for doing your work…

You have been there, done that.

The witches trials

The religious wars

The vows of celibacy and poverty, and life in the monastry

All in service to your calling, all in service to bringing the light.

In times past, the vibrations on our planet were very different than they are today. Times were darker, people were more scared and more brutal.

And the odd-ones-out were not treated kindly

Your soul, and your DNA, remembers all of this.

You have PTSD that goes back over many lifetimes.

And even if you now live a cushy, safe, beautiful life of opportunity and freedom, your dna remembers and shuts you up.

Yes, it would be possible now to openly do your work, to be proud of who you are and what you came here to do, to speak about it, to be visible and vocal.

Just like so many of the younger souls are! They talk about their work, they are confident, they show up…

While you are watching from the sidelines, wondering what is wrong with you…

There is a part of you that knows that you have at least as much power, knowledge and love then those you see in your newsfeed.

There is a part of you that knows that these powers, these gifts, this work - your work, is so needed.

There is a part of you that knows that you won’t be happy if you don’t do this work you came here to do, lifetime after lifetime…

And yet you feel paralysed.

You turn in circles

You procrastinate

You are the most perfect of the perfectionists

You second guess and doubt yourself

You fear that you are not enough

You fear that your work is not good enough

All the while KNOWING that you are here to leave a legacy, and to change the world for the better.

Which makes your inability to do so this much more crushing.

This is what it means to be an old soul.

You have lived through so much

Have seen your loved-ones die because of who you are

Have forsaken your magic for the sake of survival

Have failed to save the sick

Have succeeded in saving the sick, and were called a witch and killed because of it

There is some deep healing that needs to take place to free you

Which doesn’t mean it needs to take long in human time

Can you feel this freedom, right there, just out of reach?

It takes embracing who you are, and what you have been through.

Integrating the parts of your soul you have dismissed, and excavating your core frequency that has been buried under all the masks, the pretenses, the vows, the hiding who you are.
